The chapter introduces the book, delving into the complex and multifaceted Rohingya crisis. It emphasizes the importance of understanding the issue from various perspectives including security, media, and humanitarian efforts. The aim is to build on existing research by exploring the historical roots of the crisis, responses to it, and potential resolutions. This work addresses how security concerns, media representation, and humanitarian aspects intersect rather than solely focusing on human rights issues. In particular, it focuses on Bangladesh's experience as the primary host country for Rohingya refugees and its impact on foreign policy. Additionally, this text discusses challenges within refugee camps in Bangladesh such as organized crime, humanitarian effort, respect towards women and groups with hostile intentions. The objective is to present a detailed understanding of the Rohingya crisis that contributes valuably to academic discussions while pursuing sustainable solutions.
