Research in Leadership and Sustainability Development Goals Through the Lens of Bibliometric Analysis
摘要
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have significantly impacted the way business organizations strategize their operations to position themselves in line with the SDGs. Leadership is crucial for achieving SDGs. A study of the Scopus database shows that there has been tremendous research in the area of leadership and SDG. This highlights the significance of this domain of research. However, there is a need to provide a holistic view of the research done in this domain. Hence the current study aimed at providing a bibliometric review of research publications in the Scopus database through the search keywords “Leader*” OR “Top Management” AND “SDG” OR “Sustainable Development Goals.” The study's findings highlight the most cited article, most cited author, most popular journal, and countries leading in this research area. This will enable future researchers working in SDG and leadership to refer to the most famous work in this area. VOSviewer was used for analyzing the bibliometric networks for collaboration, co-citation, and keyword co-occurrence. An interesting insight that the study provides is the three emerging research areas identified through the co-occurring author keywords: Inclusive leadership for global health care, achieving Sustainable Development Goals via Responsible Leadership, and Holistic Societal Approach to achieve Sustainable Development Goals.
