摘要

Air pollution is a pressing global health issue, responsible for millions of deaths annually. Geospatial technology, which integrates remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), has emerged as a vital tool for monitoring air quality. This chapter presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of 226 publications spanning from 1998 to 2020. The analysis reveals a consistent growth in research output over the years, with notable contributions from esteemed institutions such as the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Prominent journals in this field include ‘Atmospheric Environment’ and ‘Remote Sensing’, indicating the significance of interdisciplinary research. Through keyword analysis, prominent themes such as air pollution, remote sensing, and GIS emerge, shedding light on the primary areas of research focus. The findings of this study offer valuable insights for guiding future research endeavors and informing policy development in the field of air quality monitoring.
