Optimization Design of Wave Trap for Partial Discharge Test of Shunt Reactors in EHV&UHV Transmission Lines

In the partial discharge test of shunt reactor for UHV transmission line, corona and suspended discharge etc. on the line interfere with the test. The installation of wave trap between the line and the high impedance can effectively suppress this kind of pulse interference. In order to meet the requirements of partial discharge detection, the topology and electrical parameters of the wave trap are optimized and designed. Through the calculation of the inductance and distributed capacitance of the strong current coil of the wave trap, the single-layer cylindrical coil wound with rectangular cross-section wire is suitable for high frequency partial discharge detection, and the double-layer cylindrical coil is suitable for traditional pulse current method for partial discharge detection; To effectively suppress corona pulses from different distances on the line, multiple different blocking frequency bands of blocking devices are cascaded.
