Research on the Influence of Voltage Polarity in DC High Voltage Dividers Measurement

High voltage experiment was commonly applied under negative polarity condition in China. The voltage radio was also measured with negative power. It was generally assumed that voltage polarity has no effect on the measurement. So far the assuming was lack of theory basis and experimental datas. To verify the assuming, the mechanism of error methemetical model is built up and a series of experiments is carried out. The contrast experiment proves that the voltage polarity have limited effects on ± 0.005% accuracy and above measurement, and the effect is negligible on ± 0.01% and below.
