Stress Simulation of Cables Laid on the Stress Absorption Mechanical Device Composed of Three Arcs in the Bridge Offset

摘要

The stress absorption effect of the high-voltage cable laid on the mechanical device laid in the bridge offset is depending on the stress distribution along the cable and the contact point of the cable with the mechanical device. However, the stress distribution of the cable laid in the bridge offset composed of three arcs has not been studied. In this paper, a model considering the gravity and the stretch has been established to investigate the position of the stress concentration point. The results show that displacement concentration is observed on both sides of the cable-offset contact region, highest displacement occurs at the point of contact between the offset device and the cables, with a maximum displacement value of up to 0.025 m. Besides the highest stress occurs at the point of contact between the offset device and the cables, with a maximum stress value of up to 2.0 GPa.
