Simulation Study on Operation Characteristics of Multi-terminal Flexible HVDC Transmission System Based on Wind Power and Photovoltaics

With the rapid growth of renewable energy, wind power and photovoltaic power have become one of the major clean energy sources. However, as are result of the volatility and intermittency of renewable energy sources, the traditional AC transmission system faces a series of challenges. In order to solve these problems, multi-terminal flexible DC transmission systems have emerged. In this paper, the multi-terminal flexible DC transmission system containing wind power and photovoltaic power is studied, including its working principle, control mode and simulation analysis. The simulation results show that the system connected through wind power and photovoltaic power operates normally without large fluctuations, and the simulation model is built correctly, for large-scale renewable energy grid-connected coordinated control research provides a more perfect simulation basis.
