Analysis of Electromagnetic Performance of a Pulsed HIA with Novel Compensating Winding
摘要
This article proposes a homopolar inductor alternator (HIA) with a special compensation winding, which is a three-phase winding and has twice the number of poles as a regular armature winding. Two methods can be used: passive compensation and active feeding. This article uses finite element simulation (FEM) to verify the effectiveness of the compensation-type HIA proposed in this article, and compares the compensation effects of passive compensation and active feeding. The research results in this paper show that both passive compensation and active feeding compensation can improve the charging power and motor power density, and the active feeding compensation effect is better.
