Inorganic Perovskite High-Energy Radiation Detectors
摘要
The detection of high-energy radiation such as X-ray and γ-ray by semiconductor materials is a challenge that requires remarkably dense structures and strong absorption. The inorganic metal halide perovskites, which possess high absorption coefficients and emission efficiencies, have received a great deal of attention as scintillatorsScintillators in indirect high-energy radiation imagingImaging and scintillating applications. Moreover, owing to long carrier diffusion lengths, low trap density, as well as expected stabilities against environment and long-term high-energy radiation, inorganic perovskites have been employed in direct high-energy radiation detectorsHigh-energy radiation detectors with high responsivities and sensitivities, allowing for low-dose and efficient detection. In this chapter, the key parameters to evaluate the high-energy radiation detection performance of inorganic perovskites are summarized. Then, the applications of inorganic perovskites, including lead-based halides and lead-free metal halides, are discussed and introduced in details. Finally, the perspectives of the high-energy radiation detection technology based on inorganic perovskites are highlighted to promote their commercial development.
