Exploring Blockchain on Cybersecurity: Cyber-Threat Intelligence Sharing

Blockchain technology has the potential to ameliorate security and trust in Arab cyberspace by preventing cyber-attacks, fraud, and data manipulation. Its decentralized and immutable ledger ensures data integrity and transparency while reducing the risks of identity theft and unauthorized access. By securely exchanging cyber-threat information through smart contracts, blockchain enables early detection and prevention of attacks while maintaining privacy. However, the use of blockchain for the exchange of cyber-threat information in Arab cyberspace faces challenges related to linguistic and cultural nuances. Specialized language processing techniques are required to accurately interpret smart contracts in Arabic, given its unique scripts, grammar, and vocabulary. It is crucial to adapt the platform to comply with local regulations and practices, which requires collaboration between language experts, blockchain developers, and legal professionals. Our proposed contribution focuses only on developing a secure framework for sharing cyber-threat information using blockchain. This framework enables secure and anonymous information exchange, establishes data sharing standards, designs suitable blockchain networks, enforces privacy through smart contracts, and implements data encryption. By facilitating the secure exchange of information between organizations and government agencies, our framework aims to strengthen cybersecurity in Arab cyberspace.
