Introduction

In this chapter, the application background of the ceramic-matrix composites in aerospace was introduced at first. The damage and failure behavior of CMCs at elevated temperatures, including, the damage behavior under tensile loading, the residual strength after cyclic loading at elevated temperature, the fatigue hysteresis behavior, interface damage evolution, lifetime, and strain response under creep loading were briefly introduced.
