A Memoryless Information Sharing RFID Tag Anti-Collision Protocol

摘要

Traditional anti-collision algorithms in radio frequency identification (RFID) systems primarily target single-channel, short-distance, point-to-point systems. They often rely on time division multiplexing to avoid tag collisions, resulting in low system efficiency. This article introduces a memoryless information-sharing tag anti-collision protocol. The protocol exploits the multi-channel attributes of a passive cellular IoT system, utilizing relay nodes to access known tag information. Additionally, it employs a bit tracking mechanism, proposing a Shared Intelligent Traversal Tree (BSSTT) protocol based on bit tracking. BSSTT protocol effectively reduces the number of invalid time slots. Simulation results, based on the application of various memoryless protocols in the presented scenario, show that the BSSTT protocol achieves a system recognition efficiency of 86.8 \(\%\) when recognizing 4000 tags, which is 59.1 \(\%\) higher than the existing QT protocol. Moreover, compared to the latest memoryless protocols, BSSTT significantly reduces both the total recognition time and overall energy consumption.
