Gospel-Inspired Servant Leadership in a Catholic School Setting

This chapter critically engages with the leadershipLeadership theme of “servant leadershipServant leadership” first developed by Greanleaf. It begins by briefly outlining the non-religious origins of this theme. The focus then shifts to contrasting this theme with the way Christian scriptures characterise the leadershipLeadership of Jesus. Attention is given to how “servant leadership” could be interpreted in the light this scriptural insight and in this way opened up to those who lead Catholic schools.
