Lawyer Evaluation in Texts: Three Constituents
摘要
This chapter analyzes the three constituents of lawyer evaluation in text: Affect, Judgement, and Appreciation. Influenced by the context of a trial, two prominent features emerge in the use of the three constituents. Firstly, compared with Affect, Judgement and Appreciation both play a more significant role in the trial talk. Secondly, the three constituents are usually realized by congruent and incongruent expressions in integration.
