Statistical Characteristics of Sediment Exchange on Bed Surface
摘要
Transition intensity is the theoretical basis of non-equilibrium transport of non-uniform suspended load. This chapter presents some main research results of exchange intensity, including six basic transfer probabilities between particle moving steps; A transition probability matrix of 4 × 4 orders, which contains 16 transition probabilities between four moving states: at rest, rolling, hopping, and suspension, and four moving state probabilities. All there probabilities are derived theoretically based on mechanic and probability method and are the basic parameters of exchange intensity and sediment carrying capacity. The numerical results demonstrate considerable accuracy and are consistent with empirical values. (See Appendix A for details).
