Indoor Express Delivery Technology Research and Implementation: An Application Exploration Based on Quadrotors

The express industry relies on the timely and reliable delivery of goods to different destinations. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have become an effective solution to this issue due to their high speed and flexibility. However, in the indoor scenario, the obstacles and complex environment often hinder the aerial delivery of UAVs. This paper addresses this problem by proposing a novel indoor delivery scheme. First, indoor self-positioning and obstacle avoidance are realized based on VINS_Fusion and EGO_Planner. Secondly, this paper designs a light-weight delivery device capable of delivering express automatically. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed scheme is verified through simulation and physical experiments. The experimental results show that the accuracy of falling into the delivery point and the probability of hitting the delivery point are 86.7% and 63.3%, respectively.
