USV Formation Configuration Based on the Probability-Distance Optimization Method

In future landing operations, our troops are often required to provide submersible surveillance for our landing fleet. The Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) formation may be launched from the landing ship dock, has a wide range of subsurface searches, and is small in size. The main objective of this essay is to configure the best unmanned vessel formation using optimization methods to ensure maximum formation effectiveness. The conventional diamond, hexagon, and octagon forms, as well as other unmanned vehicle formations, are suggested in this work. We also present a statistical model of the underwater search. A joint search statistical model is suggested based on the traits of network-centric warfare. The idea of a cluster detection coverage area for USVs was developed and designed. Last but not least, using simulation tests, a distance detection coverage area curve was created to determine the best arrangement for USV defense against submarine search, serving as a guide for future USV cluster warfare applications.
