Multi-target Allocation and Decision Methods for Missile Swarm Under Communication Constraints

Considering the constraints of communication range and detection scope in the missile swarm, this paper addressed the task assignment problem of independent missile nodes in a swarm and proposed the Extended Consensus-Based Auction Algorithm (ECBAA). Firstly, the issues caused by the limited communication and detection range between the missiles in the real battlefield environment are described and analyzed. Then, a localized task assignment model considering the multi-task assignment constraints is proposed. Furthermore, to resolve the assignment conflicts of multi-missiles targeting single target, the task assignment processes are divided into the primary and secondary stages by applying a new consensus interaction variable that called the primary task bid creation with time variable. Finally, the mathematical simulation results demonstrated that the proposed algorithm achieved the distributed and conflict-free task assignment even with the constraints of communication and detection range.
