Review on Performance Assessment of Centrifugal Compressors
摘要
Radial compressors and Impeller compressors are other names for centrifugal compressors. By adding energy to the fluid that is already continually flowing through the rotor/impeller, it increases the pressure. The majority of centrifugal compressors must work across a variety of flow rates and deliver high-level pressure ratios with excellent efficiency. The investigation of flow phenomena and the increase of the operational range is a challenging issue because the internal compressor centrifugal flow exhibits three-dimensional and unstable flow phenomena. The overall effectiveness of centrifugal compressors is heavily influenced by various factors, and optimization can result in better designs. This article covered the conceptual design, loss mechanisms, and optimization techniques to increase the various kinds of centrifugal compressors’ operating range and efficiency.
