Review on Aerodynamic and Acoustic Performance of Contra Rotating Fans
摘要
Contra rotating fans are the future of the fan and compressor industry as they can produce higher pressure than fans and are smaller in size and power than the compressor. The major problem with the operation of contra-rotating fans is the noise production and rotating stall. Changing flow rates cause a huge problem of early stall for the fan which can damage the fan structure as well as wasting the power input. Also, for minimizing these factors, better understanding of the flow structure and interaction between the rotors is required. Various studies have been conducted in the field of performance and noise optimization of contra rotating fans. This study tries to link them, and form major parameters required for designing an optimized contra rotating fan.
