Poland and Nepal

Discusses Poland’s political engagement and economic relations with land-locked Nepal since the late 1950s, which has largely been conditioned by the relatively low level of trade and lack of political interest in the distant country. The chapter assesses the impact of East European pro-democracy movements of the late 1980s and early 1990s on Nepal and the nature of political interaction to the present.
