Poland and Afghanistan
摘要
After a brief overview of the limited and rather symbolic postwar ties between Poland and Afghanistan, Patryk Kugiel highlights how the war on terror and American intervention in Afghanistan led to growing political, military, and economic engagement in Afghanistan. He assesses the features, motivations, and results of Polish engagement in the country. It concludes with reflections on Afghan-Polish relations in the aftermath of the withdrawal of foreign troops and the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan in 2022.
