Poland’s Trade and Economic Relations with South Asia

Provides an overview of trade and economic relations between Poland and the countries of the South Asian Association of South Asian Regional Cooperation (SAARC)—Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. It argues that the most significant economic relationship is with India and although Poland has managed to improve economic links with Pakistan and Bangladesh, there remains a huge potential for enhancing cooperation in the existing areas as well as for its expansion into new sectors of economy, including with smaller South Asian countries.
