摘要

IoT networks are comprised of multiple terminal devices and control centers, where the increasing amount of connected IoT devices have led to a drastic data growth. The generated data from multiple terminals needs to be transmitted to the control center through public wireless channels that undergoes real-time changes. To ensure the timeliness of the data forwarded to the control center, this paper introduces the concept of AoI as a metric to quantify the timeliness of data delivery with throughput considered either. We propose two transmission scheduling policies, namely the Priority-based Scheduling Policy considering AoI and Throughput (PSP-AT) and the Dynamic Classification-based Priority Scheduling Policy (DCP-AT). Both of them aim to schedule channels to maximize the throughput and minimize the AoI and they are compared with existing scheduling policies. Experimental results show that our proposed algorithms outperform existing scheduling policies in terms of AoI and throughput.
