Effects of Authentic Leadership on Employee Work Performance, Moderated by Employee Resilience

This study delves into the interplay between authentic leadership, employee resilience, and employee work performance within the organization. Authentic leadership, characterized by positive psychological attributes and ethical principles, fosters self-awareness and constructive behaviors among leaders and associates. Authentic leaders are known to drive positive values, stimulate creativity, and involve employees in decision-making, making them crucial in the face of business uncertainties. Resilient employees, capable of sustained productivity despite challenges, play a crucial role in organizational success. Authentic leadership has been found to cultivate employee resilience, enhancing adaptability and overall organizational outcomes. Employee work performance is multifaceted, encompassing task performance, contextual performance, and counterproductive work behavior, and is influenced by anticipated benefits. This research contributes to our understanding of authentic leadership's impact. It sheds light on the mechanisms that control employees’ resiliency and work performance, which is crucial for organizations to maintain competitiveness in current and future business environments.
