摘要

This study aims to assess the contribution of skills to entrepreneurial intentions among transgender people who help them integrate into society. A quantitative method was used to collect data from 132 transgender people using a semi-structured interview schedule. The present study tries to understand the development of transgender individuals through entrepreneurship, which will help them to integrate into mainstream society. Regression and correlation analyses were used to determine the determinants of entrepreneurial opportunities among transgender entrepreneurs in Tamil Nadu. Based on the skill set and nature of business, it is concluded that there are significant differences in influencing factors for trans-entrepreneurship, such as experience, personal, family, economic, employment, and market factors, because their regression coefficient is significant. The study only included male-to-female transgender people and was limited to Tamil Nadu. More research is required before these conclusions can be drawn from other settings and circumstances.
