Company-Based Organizational Development and New Dimensions of Teaching/Learning Research in Vocational Education and Training

Attempting an initial systematization of the results of this research, four areas of tension crystallize with which the challenges to VET practice can be described. Teaching/learning research based on data from COMET research: COMET opens up a new dimension of teaching/learning research. The basis is formed by data arising from four fields of research into professional development: data on occupational competence development; on the development of occupational and organizational identity; on work-related commitment as well as on test motivation and contextual data, with which the framework conditions of occupational teaching and learning are recorded; and data on the competence of teachers and trainers.
