Multiple Competence
摘要
The concept of multiple competence can be based on the results of expertise research and occupational skills research. These have provided evidence that occupational competences are domain specific. Gardner summarizes his concept of multiple intelligence with that of multiple competence. He substantiates his framework theory according to which he distinguishes seven intelligences. From these, domains (functional areas) are to be distinguished as they are given by the professional activities. If one maps the concept of holistic task solving on the level of vocational knowledge, then the forms of (1) action-guiding knowledge (know-that), (2) action-explaining knowledge (know-how), and action-reflecting knowledge (know-why), which build on each other, suggest themselves. However, this concept is controversial. With the concept of multiple competence, the state of competence and knowledge research is taken into account, following the concept of multiple intelligence by Howard Gardner. The knowledge and competence debate refers to the diversity of human abilities. According to this, the development of professional competences is a process of shaping professional abilities, which is given on the one hand by the individual intelligence potentials and on the other hand by the requirement structure of the holistic solution of professional tasks. In this sense, meaningful practical terms are those that represent the domain-specific aspects of meaning and fields of meaning. However, these can only be determined in their interaction between the objective circumstances and the formation of subjective meaning structures and symbolic meanings related to them.
