Crossing Eurasia: The Paleolithic Altai

In the summer of 2018, I traveled to AltaiAltai, Russia, for a week to attend the Ninth Meeting of the Asian Paleolithic Association, during which the Russian side organized visits to several sites and archaeological specimens. The main venue of the conference was the field research center of the famous Denisova Cave Site (Fig. 8.1). We spent the last two days at an excavation site several hundred kilometers away.
