Back to the Mousterian Puzzle: The Mystery of Stone Tools

Recently, I took a trip to Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hunan in the South and snatched a brief glance at these places. I showed students lithic materials in five provinces and districts and learned a little about the latest discoveries. It was not the first time I had visited these places, nor was it the first time I had seen some of the materials. Nevertheless, as I learn more, especially as new archaeological discoveries surface, it becomes clearer that our previous conclusions or definitions may be outdated as they no longer cover new materials.
