Traveling Through Time and Space

Reading books is like making friends: lucky chance is important. I bought Yuan Zhongdao’s Notes Made Whilst Travelling and at Repose many years ago and had read it before, but I was not as impressed as I was by the works of his older brother Yuan Zhonglang. Perhaps it is because his ideas are not as sharp as Yuan Zhonglang’s. But during the COVID-19 epidemic, for some reason, I started rereading the book, and suddenly a casual friend became an intimate one. I read a few pages every day before I went to bed, and at other times I also wanted to read it, so much so that I had to restrain my desire.
