The Spiritual Core of the Cultural Gene

I remember when I freshly arrived in the United States to study in 1998, one of my roommates was a Christian, so I followed him to some church activities. Then, to practice English, I attended many church activities. Inevitably we would talk about religious issues. Perhaps my church friends thought I had some “root of wisdom,” or they wanted to expand the group, so they patiently discussed with me the origin of the world to the fundamentals of life. During my exposure to Christianity, I gained a deep understanding of the English word “aggressive,” a feeling shared by many who have had similar experiences to mine.
