Tracing the Origin of Chinese Civilization as a System
摘要
Our current research on the origins of civilization, agriculture, modern humans, and even Hominidae focuses on the same model, which is searching for iconic features. In the case of civilizational origins, the hallmarks include writing, metal smelting, cities, and state power; in the case of agricultural origins, they have settlements, pottery, ground tools, and domesticated plants and animals; in the case of the origin of modern humans, they are artwork and composite tools; and in the case of Hominidae origin, they are upright walking and tool making.
