The Story of Longquan Cave

Luoyang was unbearably scorching in July. As I left Longmen Station and waited for a car, I was already drenched in sweat after only a few minutes, though the sun was not strong in the gray sky. It took us less than two hours to drive southwest from Luoyang along the highway to its subordinate Luanchuan County, where it was cool and pleasant, with refreshing air, making us feel we had arrived at heaven. We came to Luanchuan for Longquan Cave, where new excavations were conducted by the Luoyang Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology during this excavation season.
