  • Daisuke Akimoto

摘要

In the field of global health, nutrition and health of mothers and children should be regarded as another important issue. The Global Financing Facility for Women, Children and Adolescents (GFF) is a multi-stakeholder global partnership that aims to improve health and nutrition of women, children, and adolescents in developing countries. In essence, the purpose of the GFF is to improve reproductive, maternal, newborn child, adolescent health, and nutrition (RMNCAH-N). Japan’s financial contributions to the GFF are of significance to a great deal, since Tokyo supported the inception and development of the GFF. This chapter sheds light on the significance of the World Bank’s GFF, and Japan’s incremental contributions to the GFF from its inception to the present, especially during the coronavirus pandemic period.
