Adjustment Calculation Method for the Actuators of an Active Main Reflector Antenna

The panel adjustable reflector antenna can achieve higher surface accuracy, and it achieves panel adjustment through numerous actuators located below the panel. In order to quickly calculate the actuators adjustment and reduce the surface root mean square error (RMSE) after adjustment as much as possible, this paper proposes a method to calculate the actuators adjustment by using the fitting function. Taking a single panel as an example, the calculation method of fitting function and actuators adjustment was derived. The adjustment results were compared with traditional methods, and particle swarm optimization was used to optimize the calculation of the optimal actuator adjustment. On the basis of determining the effectiveness of this adjustment method, a fitting function for the entire active surface was derived to calculate all the actuators adjustment. The results indicate that the proposed method can reduce the panel surface RMSE after adjustment, which can provide a reference for the active surface actuators adjustment of the reflector antenna.
