An Innovative Design Method with Good Operability and Practicality

Based on the two traditional innovative design methods of combination and transplantation, an innovative design method for rapid product development is proposed. Firstly, several functional modules that the product should possess should be sorted out; Then, the complete functionality of the product is achieved by searching for mature technical units which are corresponding to the functional modules one by one, and by combining them to form a new technical system; Finally, the complete conceptual product is formed by transplanting these mature technology units. This method has been fully applied to our school's innovative design courses and student innovation projects and activities for several years. The practice shows that this innovative design method with strong practicality and good operability is very suitable for college students to carry out innovative design training, and can also be popularized and applied in the rapid product development of small and micro enterprises.
