摘要

Cementitious composites possess typical multi-scale structures from the nano to macro scales, which governs the engineering properties of concrete structures under various environments. With this consideration, the effective medium theories provide simple solutions to calculate the engineering properties of cement-based composites, taking advantage of the multi-scale structure nature of cementitious composites. This paper gives a brief review regarding the recent advances in predicting the mechanical and thermal behaviors of fiber reinforced concrete using effective medium theories through several available cases. In what follows, parameter sensitivity analysis of the proposed models is conducted to explore the internal relationships between the multi-scale structures of cementitious composites and their engineering properties.
