摘要

Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI) are the new-age technology that works by acquiring signals directly from the brain. Though the technology is new, it is promising and provides a great sense of hope for the future of computing. The contribution of BCIs spans from the field of computing to the field of medicine, and the need for BCIs is growing at a steady pace. The following study is a comprehensive summary on Brain-Computer Interfaces. This work proceeds by introducing the technology to the audience and works by evaluating the merits and demerits that the technology comes with. Finally, the work transitions into working and gives a detailed description of how BCIs function. The study intends to describe each and every stage in the working of a BCI in a compendious way.
