Study of Magnetic Field Focusing Characteristics of Active Electromagnetic Metamaterials

Electromagnetic metamaterials have the excellent property of regulating magnetic field, which has been a research hot spot. In recent years, low-frequency electromagnetic metamaterials have begun to receive attention due to their application prospects in biomedicine, electrical equipment, energy conversion and transmission. Different from high-frequency electromagnetic metamaterials, low-frequency electromagnetic metamaterials regulate the magnetic near field. Active electromagnetic metamaterials consist of a coil set with adjustable current, which can flexibly regulate the parameters according to the system requirements and realize the focusing of the static magnetic field at the specified position. In this paper, by optimizing the structural parameters of concentric cylindrical active electromagnetic metamaterials, the distance of magnetic field focusing is improved under the condition of close magnetic field strength at the focusing point to adapt to the needs of different applications. In addition to the static magnetic field, AC active electromagnetic metamaterials are designed in this paper, which can realize the focusing of the alternating magnetic field in the specified area.
