Progress of Low-Dimensional Metal Sulfide Electromagnetic Wave Absorption Materials

摘要

With the rapid growth of the information technology and electronic industry, electromagnetic (EM) radiation has become the fourth type of pollution, posing a significant threat to human health, life, and production. The application of EM wave absorption materials proves to be the most effective method to tackle EM pollution. Therefore, the development of enhanced EM wave absorption materials holds significant importance for upgrading military equipment and providing civilian magnetic protection. Traditional materials for absorbing EM waves suffer from a single attenuation mechanism and demonstrate poor impedance matching. Metal sulfides cannot meet necessary production and application requirements. However, they do exhibit adjustable band gap and high EM response characteristics, indicating their potential as high-performance absorption materials. This review starts from the basic theory of EM wave absorption materials, and introduces the main mechanism of EM absorption. Then, the low-dimensional metal sulfide materials are classified and summarized systematically, and the EM wave absorption properties and research progresses of transition metal sulfide materials in recent years are summarized.
