Research on Bilateral LCC Compensation Network of Underwater Wireless Charging System with Multi-resonance Point Switching

Underwater charging is a great way to improve Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) concealment and convenience. The contactor underwater charger isn’t practical in terms of economy and technology, so the underwater wireless charging technique has a lot of research importance. Underwater wireless charging uses magnetic coupling resonance wireless charging. This requires that the coils of the transmitter and receiver be parallel and coaxial. The coils will become misaligned after the AUV has been shut off in the dock due to ocean currents. This will reduce the power of transmission and efficiency. This paper, based on the compensation network and mutual inductance model, deduces characteristics of double-side LCCs with multiple resonance points. It adopts a mode of switching multiple resonant point to achieve constant voltage and current output. The paper proposes a frequency-switching mode that has smooth characteristics. It is also stable and reliable. This improves the system’s anti-migration capability.
