Two-Stage Configuration of IES with Considering Carbon-Green Certificate Trading and Surplus Energy Carbon Capture

Previous research on the configuration of Integrated Energy Systems (IES) has not fully considered the impact of carbon-green certificate market trading, leaving room for improvement in terms of comprehensiveness. This paper proposes a two-stage low-carbon configuration method that comprehensively considers the carbon-green certificate trading mechanism and flexible surplus energy carbon capture strategies. In the IES configuration stage, the carbon-green certificate market trading mechanism is taken into account. The results show that compared to a system without considering carbon-green certificate trading mechanism, the carbon emissions of the system with the trading mechanism decreased by 88.74%. The introduction of the carbon-green certificate trading mechanism facilitates the integration of more new energy devices and energy storage devices in the IES configuration. The surplus energy utilization mechanism effectively resolves the contradiction between surplus energy and carbon emissions in the system over time. In the second stage, the surplus energy utilization mechanism reduces the CCU (Carbon Capture Unit) capacity of the system and increases the system’s carbon capture rate by 10.81%.
