Research on the Development of Graphical Modeling and Visualization Based on Integrated Analysis Programs of Severe Accidents

In this paper, a potential solution is proposed to tackle various challenges encountered when utilizing the self-reliant, integrated analysis software of severe accidents (MOSAP) for modeling, such as poor data readability and editability, high error rates of data editing and query, as well as laborious subsequent tracking & maintenance task. The analysts first classified the modeling parameters of the MOSAP based on their experience and actual modeling logics, and established a practical tool integrating graphical modeling and input parameter error diagnosis with the existing MOSAP. Furthermore, visual interfaces were created to enable 3D scenario visualization, flow sheet formation for key nodes, key parameter monitoring, and other function. For instance, for reactor models such as HPR 1000, AP1000, and M310, as well as second-generation advanced nuclear power units in China, the modeling and visualization allow for intuitive, effective, and real-time tracking of severe accident progress and activities.
