Health Promoting Schools Framework: Strategies for Promoting the Health of Schoolchildren
摘要
Currently, the healthy setting approach for promoting health, particularly within educational environments, is gaining authority. Schools and neighboring communities are acknowledged as suitable environments for implementing health promotion. The health and well-being of children are a significant public health concern. The Health Promoting Schools framework (HPS) developed by the World Health Organization is aimed at developing the infrastructure to support health promotion in schools and neighboring communities. It involves building skills for all students to develop their own health and well-being, including their families, as well as the community as a whole. Adhering to this framework will lead to meeting the country’s health promotion needs. To achieve these goals, schools must utilize all available resources and potentials, and must rely on collaborative efforts with strong leadership at all levels, involving stakeholders’ opinions and working towards various objectives under the integration of educational and health development concepts.
