摘要

The paper is an attempt to improve the power quality output of new modified 7 level cascade H Bridge multilevel inverter, which makes it more desirable for the AC loads. It further improves the efficiency by reducing the undesirable saturation, vibrations and noise from the load operation by increasing the number of levels. The proposed design requires fewer DC input voltage supply resources and lower semiconductor switches, as well as lower blocking switch voltage, resulting in reduced inverter complexity and overall cost. The paper presents a new modified 7 level cascade H Bridge multilevel inverter with modified SPWM triggering technology. The proposed model has solar PV panels connected with battery source and IGBT switches, whose operation gives a 7-level output. Simulation and experimental results in MATLAB/Simulink back up the suggested topology's performance and functional accuracy in producing different levels of voltages for a 7-level inverter utilizing the modified full wave Bridge SPWM. THD analysis shows that the overall THD is under IEEE limit of 5%.
