摘要

The Government of Indonesia (GoI) commits to address the impacts of climate change. The commitment is to encourage and endorse the design and implementation of climate actions. The GoI enables adaptation actions to reduce and/or minimize the potential impacts on national development. The national government also encourages the sub-national governments and related stakeholders to jointly initiate adaptation actions. The design process of formulating climate change actions followed the regulation of MoEF No. 33/2016 and MOEF No. 7/2018. The processes involved multi-stakeholder participation in consolidating the vulnerability and risk assessment as well as existing modalities and capacities. The assessment revealed that air temperatures of Bogor City are rising to about ± 0.5 ˚C from 1987 to 2017. This trend will continue in the future as the city will have increasing air temperature averages from 0.47 to 0.91 ˚C and higher frequency of extreme air temperatures. The climate projections show that Bogor City will have a decrease in rainfall up to 18% for the North Bogor and Tanah Sareal, and a 27% increase in rainfall amount for the East and South Bogor. The prone areas to climate-related hazards are projected to expand from the baseline condition and likely to vary depending on the hazards. The projected areas prone to the hazard consequences are the Central, South, and East Bogor. The future climates indicated by changing rainfall patterns will also affect the decline in water availability. Concerning the impacts, climate actions, i.e., soft- and hard interventions, are proposed to address the ongoing and future climate challenges.
