摘要

The fishery sector is one of the important sectors in our country considering that our country is a maritime country and has enormous potential for fish, one of which is Skipjack Tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis). Skipjack tuna is one of the captured fish commodities in the Bali Strait, but in 2020 skipjack production has dropped dramatically when compared to other years. Climate or the Covid-19 pandemic where fishing activities are limited so that fish production decreases. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to map areas that have the potential to have high amounts of skipjack tuna production using oceanographic parameters to make it easier for fishermen to map fish locations and also increase the effectiveness of skipjack tuna production using the ZPPI map produced in this study. In this research, the parameter data used are Aqua MODIS satellite imagery data, which already contains chlorophyll data and sea surface temperature (SST) data and has been processed by ERDDAP, then bathymetry data downloaded from GEBCO, the three parameters will be classified according to the appropriate value with the habitat of skipjack tuna which will later obtain areas that are in accordance with predetermined values. It was found that January has the highest potential fishing zone (PFZ) area while July has the lowest potential fishing zone (PFZ). Throughout the year, the months with high potential are in January–April and in December while the months with low potential are in May–November.
