Steppe Philanthropist. Khasen Akayev (1857–1931)
摘要
The history of Kazakhstan includes the names of bais—philanthropists, sponsors, and grant givers who financially supported the Alash-Hordyns. They financed newspapers and magazines, opened schools in different parts of the Steppe, invited teachers from Istanbul and Kazan, announced competitions for writing novels, financially supported the military units of Alash, and much more. One of the bais who supported the Alash party was Khasen Akaev. His fate is typical of strong, proactive, and wealthy people of that era full of tragic events.
