The chapter tells about the doctor A. Seitov, who fought epidemics of typhoid, diphtheria, scarlet fever, malaria, cholera, and tuberculosis during the revolution and civil war. He was one of those who stood at the origins of creating a system of wide coverage of the population with medical services, initiated the creation of sanatoriums for the treatment of patients with tuberculosis, and wrote scientific articles on the prevention of child and female mortality.
